If you are interested in Buddhism and the tools it offers to deal with these challenges, then this is the course for you.This course will introduce you to the 'Graded Path to Enlightenment', one of the foundational texts of Tibetan Buddhism. It will provide practical tools to recognize habitual patterns and concepts, how they can give rise to negative/distructive emotions and how let go of them by developing a positive, kind and patient attitude in your daily life.

The course fee includes food, accommodation in single rooms/private bath, and a free book.

Check-in for the course is 3.30 pm on 28 July -  you are welcome to arrive a day earlier.

The course concludes on 2 August with lunch.

Your daily schedule begins at 6.45 am and finishes at 9 pm.

Participants are required to attend all session, attendance to all sessions is compulsory.

 Silence is kept from 9 pm till after lunch the next day.

Mobile phones and other internet connectable gadgets need to be checked in at the reception for the duration of the course. Read more on course discipline.

During your stay at Kopan, please follows our strict dress code. Check if you are dressed appropriately for a monastic environment.


Please note

To avoid close contact of the participants, accommodation is only available in single rooms/private bath (no dormitory).

To make your stay safe, please take note of our requirements:

- You need to be fully vaccinated. Please bring relevant documentation with you. (Sorry, if you are not vaccinated, you are not able to attend the course.)

- If you are coming directly from the airport to Kopan, please get a Rapid test at the airport and bring the result with you.

- If you are already in Kathmandu/Nepal, please get a PCR test done before coming to Kopan.

- You will not be allowed to leave the monastery during your stay.

- Extend your visa if necessary before coming to Kopan.

- We do recommend medical insurance for elderly people.
